If you need a break from Butlins, Minehead town is a short walk away, with plenty of shops, restaurants pubs. It also has a railway station with authentic steam and diesel trains running regulary.
There are many beautiful towns and villages near by. Dunster castle and town, Lynmouth, Taunton, to mention just a few.
Across the road from Butlins entrance is a beautiful sandy beach, with great views of the Welsh coast.
500 yards past Butlins entrance there is a 18 hole golf course, with reduced rates for Butlins resudents.
